Welcome to the parish of Withycombe Raleigh with Exmouth

The Churches in our Parish will re-open for public worship on Easter Day, Sunday 4th April and look forward to seeing you very soon.

Please pray for those who are ill and those who care for them, those who are isolated, those who are afraid and those who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. With love & prayers. Contact family, friends and neighbours, as many of us will feel increasingly lonely and isolated in the coming days and weeks. Hold the faith, remembering that when we pray we join with our brother and sisters and the whole company of heaven.

Fr. Robert

My colleagues and I would like to welcome you to our parish and mission community. We are a large urban and sub-urban parish comprising the larger half of Exmouth town made up of some 25,000 people. We have three lovely and very different churches in our team, all within the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, but expressing it in different ways. Each of our churches has a life of its own, centred around our regular worship of God in Christ, and in addition we have social events but we also have a number of joint activities throughout the year, including some services, Lent and Advent groups, and a house group and a book group meeting each month.

We are a single parish and so we have just one parochial Church Council (P.C.C.) which meets to decide our policies, make decisions and agree our mission strategy and the like. Each church also has a separate committee to make decisions about each church’s life, fabric, events and so on.

We would be delighted to see you at any one of our churches in the team and if we can be of any help in any way, be it to discuss the possibility of a wedding or baptism (christening) or for any pastoral problems, please do not hesitate to contact one of the clergy or the parish office located in the hall at the Parish Church.

With prayers and very best wishes

Fr. Robert Sellers
